A team from Market Planning at Waltham purred with pride at the end of their recent team build at a local animal rescue centre. Julie Peberdy, Kate Orwin, Melanie Allcock, Nel Murphy, Stuart Portess,
Suzanne Smith, Ian Stendhurst, Alison Oldfield and Jim McCarthy went to the Three Counties Dog Rescue in Bourne on October 7 to refurbish its rundown cat housing – inside and out.
The team set to and steam-cleaned the walls and floors of all the pens, scrubbed outside runs, cleaned windows, did general maintenance on the building and furnished the cat pens with scratching posts and toys. They put in Whiskas food bowls and placed Whiskas posters on the walls and finally made a generous product donation.
“It was a very smelly job and took a lot of hard work,” said Julie Peberdy, demand planner. “All the associates put in a massive effort and we considered it a very successful team build. “The owners of the rescue centre were bowled over by the difference a day’s work made and were very appreciative of our efforts.”
